pushing the blame

government agencies or ministries are the best places to learn the art of ‘pushing the blame’.

One best example is Mas Selamat’s escape. I should not delve into details.

The IRAS is another example.
Tell them I did not receive the Form P and I would like to deal with the problem immediately.

Their first immediate action drill is to
1. play ping pong with me. ask me to call 4 numbers but cannot give me assurance that I will not be fined.
2. gave me assurance that they cannot give guarantee that I will be fined or not.
3. Cannot send me email on FORM P information despite we paying millions.billions of money. (some clara cited we do not have email facility)
4. ask me to go to web site to look for info myself.

when I ask for the url, cannot even give me the link when I’ve already found the site.

First class government? I say GA NA SAI!

Why these people just cannot take up responsibility? Is it that difficult? Even hawkers can remember which table I am sitting by using a peg. Why can’t they attend to my requests by letting me know who I should speak to regarding this and giving me a tag number?

Maybe I should write a simple program to let people post their tax information on the net securely. If the government wants to ‘e-file’ its citizens, then it will need to do so on time, if not when the deadline is over, we get tax rebates.

then you’ll find government calling citizen hotline and then we play ping pong back.
