dialysis machines

i always wonder how hospitals’ equipment become more expensive when consumer electronics gets cheaper by the day.

i remember the times when NKF advertisements keep on reminding people how expensive it is to do kidney dialysis.

Gosh, we’ve all been tricked!

I always thought, if there were billions pumped into research to do biomedical or medical research, shouldn’t they be doing something which can reduce the cost of these machines so that a person who has kidney failure would not be killing a few others becos it is too expensive to actually use it?

If they are not coming up with it, what is the reason? Is there no incentive to help these people who has this illness?

What are the f***ing A**** trying to do when they demand research people to write academic papers at a rate which surpasses all others?

Do they do research for a reason? If there is an answer, I would like to know the answer.
